Republic day Special 2020: जानें क्या है 26 जनवरी का इतिहास, इस तारीख इतिहास के पन्नों में दर्ज है कई महत्वपूर्ण घटनाएं

India is a country of diverse religions, beliefs and cultures and every day a festival is celebrated. People who obey every religion celebrate their festivals with gaiety, but there are some festivals that are important for every countrymen and are celebrated with dignity and affection throughout the country. January 26 is also a day which is the national festival of the country. Every citizen of the country, whether it belongs to a religion, caste or creed, celebrates this day with the nation's love.
     
Talking about history, the Constitution of India came into force on this day. India got independence from the British on August 15, 1947, but India was declared a sovereign democratic republic on 26th January 1950. On this day, the main event at Rajpath in the capital is presented with a cultural glimpse of India as well as a tableau of military power and traditional heritage.

1556
Death of Mughal emperor Humayun falling from stairs.
1930
Swaraj Diwas celebrated for the first time in India under British rule
1931
Mahatma Gandhi was released for talks with the British government during the ' civil disobedience movement '.
1950
The Constitution of independent India came into force and India was declared a sovereign democratic republic. Since then, the day was celebrated as Republic Day
1950
Ashoka Pillar adopted as national emblem.
1950
The Federal Court of India, which was established in 1937, was made the Supreme Court of India
1957
The Indian side of Jammu and Kashmir was formally made a part of India.    
1963
The crown-like kalgi and beautiful winged peacock on the forehead were declared as national birds.
1972
Unveiling of National Monument Amar Jawan Jyoti at India Gate, Delhi.

1981
Air Doot Launches Air Service.

1982 
Indian Railways launched the Palace on Wheels service to provide tourists       with royal and luxurious experience during the journey of rail.

2001
In Gujarat, a massive 7.7 magnitude earthquake hit Bhuj, killing thousands of people.
2008
On the occasion of Republic Day, the country's first woman President Pratibha Patil took the salute of the parade.
