India is a country of diverse religions, beliefs and cultures
and every day a festival is celebrated. People who obey every religion
celebrate their festivals with gaiety, but there are some festivals that are
important for every countrymen and are celebrated with dignity and affection
throughout the country. January 26 is also a day which is the national festival
of the country. Every citizen of the country, whether it belongs to a religion,
caste or creed, celebrates this day with the nation's love.
Talking about history, the Constitution of India came into force on this day. India got independence from the British on August 15, 1947, but India was declared a sovereign democratic republic on 26th January 1950. On this day, the main event at Rajpath in the capital is presented with a cultural glimpse of India as well as a tableau of military power and traditional heritage.
